A congestion-relieving tool is set to help southbound Interstate 5 travelers in Lacey. The Washington State Department of Transportation will soon activate a new ramp meter at the Marvin Road on-ramp to southbound I-5. The ramp meter is scheduled to turn on Monday, August 1.

California’s Yolo County I-5 Ramp Meter Scheduled for Activation
To help relieve congestion and make merging safer for motorists, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will activate a new on-ramp meter on southbound Interstate 5 from Old River Road just north of the Sacramento River.
