Delaware DOT’s contractor will be completing routine bridge inspections and deck testing during the week of November 2, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day, pending weather.
Motorists should be aware that bridge personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to the travel lanes and anticipate lane shifts.
The following locations will be impacted:
Wednesday, November 4: Traffic shift on the I-95 southbound off-ramp to Exit 8/U.S. Route 202 southbound. Traffic will be shifted to the south to temporarily increase the width of the right shoulder. Once the work is done in the right shoulder, traffic will be shifted to the north to temporarily increase the width of the left shoulder. The ramp will remain open during the shift.
Thursday, November 5: Alternating right lane closures on U.S. Route 202 northbound and southbound. Closure of the right lane of U.S. Route 202 northbound will be between North Broom Street and the I-95 southbound on-ramp. Closure of the right lane of U.S. Route 202 southbound will be between the I-95 northbound on-ramp and North Broom Street. The I-95 on-ramps and off-ramps will remain open during the lane closures.
Friday, November 6: Alternating left lane closures on U.S. Route 202 northbound and southbound. The closures will be between North Broom Street and the Augustine Cut-Off. Once the closures are completed, the shoulder of the ramp leading from I-95 northbound to U.S. Route 202 northbound will be closed.
